Why should I choose a Nanny Agency when I could just advertise on the numerous websites myself?

Most of the childcare sites will charge you from £25 per ad (for a limited time). Although you can register for free, you will have to become a member in order to actually obtain nannies' contact details. You will then have to go the extremely time-consuming process of filtering CV's and communicating with each individual candidate to arrange interviews. You will also have to deal with plenty of unsuitable candidates and no-shows.

FAQ

Why are agencies so expensive?

We do all the above and more for you which saves you a lot of time and therefore money.

We register your requirements and match them to our registered candidates. We then send you candidate profiles to review and arrange interviews with your chosen candidates.

There is also plenty of background work:

-We spend time meeting all our nannies (not all agencies bother to do this so do ask)

-We provide a caring service to both nanny and employer rather than acting as a CV factory.

-We provide a friendly, personal and efficient service

-We provide continuous professional support throughout the duration of your nanny's employment

-We are highly recommended by our current families

-We thoroughly check all nannies (Enhanced DBS checks / Greek equivalent backround check, passport, id, references, certificates and qualifications)

How much will a nanny cost me?

With regards to the nanny's salary, please find below some guidance:

For a live-out nanny, the typical hourly rate is £9-£11 net, depending on the candidate's experience / qualifications.

For a live-in nanny working 5 days per week, 10-12 hours per day, the typical weekly salary is £300-£450 net.

You are also responsible for paying the nanny's tax and Employer's national insurance.

This varies depending on the nanny's net salary. For more information please refer to  Nannytax where you will find a useful net to total cost calculator.

How do we start?

Initially, we send you a registration form and our Terms and Conditions. We then create a job description that outlines your needs so that we can then circulate it to our registered nannies. Following from that, we send you candidate profiles that match your criteria / requirements. Once you have chosen the candidates that you wish to interview we arrange interviews at convenient days/ times.

I'm not ready to offer a job after an interview? Can I have a trial with a candidate?

Absolutely yes! In fact, we encourage families to arrange a trial with their preffered candidate. One day trial is free of charge from agency fees. You will obviously need to pay the nanny for the hours she will be working for you.

You can then continue the trial period for as long as you like and place a job offer as soon as you are ready. Temporary placements are charged £35 per day or £120 per week and if/when you are ready to switch to a permanent placement, we will then deduct the amount you already paid for the temporary placement from the placement fee.
